About Us
My husband; Mike and I and our two young children moved from our UK home in 2017 to Suzhou, China where we are currently living our faith journey as expats. Mike works as a teacher in an international school and I volunteer in a few capacities as well as blog! During the Covid-19 China Lockdown, we found ourselves as crisis migrants in Penang; Malaysia. Penang quickly became one of my favourite places on Earth. I wanted to journal some of the wonderful memories we made and so the blog began and hasn't looked back!
As well as featuring an ongoing blog, Land of Silk and honey aims to bring anecdotes, travel stories and guides, a few recipes and book reviews and our readers will find that some of the entries are seasoned with the salt of our faith in God!
As the Pandemic is affecting different areas of the world in different ways, Land of Silk and Honey does not endorse travel to anywhere at this time. Here in China, there are currently no Covid hotspots and restrictions have been removed from domestic travel. However the borders remain closed.
